Codabar barcode generator

Find out how easy it is to generate Codabar barcodes with Labeljoy. Codabar is a linear barcode symbology that can also include special characters. (- $: /. +).

The encoded text must be delimited by a start and end character that has to be selected among the uppercase letters A, B, C or D. These letters can be used only at the beginning and at the end of the encoding. Use Codabar generator to print labels for your shipments.

Generation of a Codabar barcode

Text concatenation:
When a Codabar barcode element is generated by concatenating fields or counters, the following rules apply:

Only texts containing digits and the allowed special characters will be considered.
Texts must be delimited by one of the four allowed upper-case characters. For instance, to encode 1234+5678, the field should contain the following text: A1234+5678B, where A and B are respectively the start and end characters and will not be displayed.

If a value is found that does not comply with the above rules, the barcode will not be displayed.

The visually readable text can also be displayed above the symbol or hidden, according to the setting specified in the Text combo box.
